Services Offered

Line Editing- Although we are not professional editors and can't promise to find every grammatical or spelling error, we can find a lot, and can make a lot of suggestions on how to make your game easier to read. Cost: $1 per 200 words

Art Direction- Tell us what style of art you want, how much you have to spend and what you want illustrations of and we'll find the right artists and commission the illustrations. Don't have any idea what you want the art to be? Let us make a suggestion. Cost: 20% of your art budget.

Page Layout- Putting together the text, illustrations, tables, headings and page numbers on a page so that they look nice and so that they are in a format a printing company can accept. Cost: $2/page (min $200).

Print Buying- Let us shop for the best price and deal with the book printer for you. Cost: $75 per book (plus whatever the printer charges, of course).

Advertising- Let us create an electronic or print ad for your game using art from the book. Cost: $50 for an animated banner ad or half-page print ad, $75 for a full page print ad.

What we don't do:

  • Write your book.
  • Sell your book.
  • Distribute your book to game shops.
  • Advertise your book.

    Disclaimer: This spreadsheet is not guaranteed to be accurate. It was designed for 8.5x11 softcover books with a b&w interior in the range of 100-500 pages and bought in the range of 500-1000 copies. The farther you deviate from these ranges, the more inaccurate the estimates will be.

    Extra Costs?

    There may be extra costs for optional services you ask for. There will be no unexpected costs or hidden fees on anything that isn't completely optional. Examples:

  • Extra cost to have us design a character sheet for you.
  • Extra cost to have a blueline proof of your book sent to you before printing.
  • Extra cost to have ISBN numbers purchased and an ISBN barcode added to your book.
  • Extra cost to have us re-check your work after you have made changes based on our copy-editing suggestions.
  • Extra cost to use special (non-freeware) fonts.
